This month, I enjoyed some time at the eastern shore, a place I return to with my family every summer. I spent these days near the water, walking the quiet streets of the small beach town, and watching the sunset on the horizon every evening. This place fills me with joy and inspiration.
I brought along my supplies with the hope I could start a new collection of work. The landscape and change of pace refreshed my creative practice. I spent each morning painting on the front porch of the beach house, experimenting with paint, water, and collage. I imagined creating collisions of interior and exterior landscapes. I wanted to present a new depiction of new, reimagined space with characteristics of both. This new body of work explores the collisions of interior space, land, sky, and sea and illustrate the connective energy that flows through all things.
